Transen system providing Heating and Cooling

Heat pump theory rests on the principle that heat will move from a higher temperature to a lower temperature. Thus a heat transfer coil kept at a lower temperature than its surroundings will pick up heat.

The diagram illustrates how the refrigerant gases in the low pressure side of the unit abstracts the heat from the water/glycol solution contained within the circulating ground loop system. The heat transfer from the condensing plate for the domestic hot water systems (DHW) is directed to the Thermastore which then services the underfloor heating (UFH) and DHW systems when called upon.
